Some real knockout costumes...done on surprisingly tight budgets!

Let 'em eat cake!

Marie Antoinette - Hallowe'en, 2002.

Miss 1928

Silver eyelash lame flapper costume, commissioned for a performance at the birthday party of a person born in 1928.

Tracy Turnblad dress

Costume for a Tracy Turnblad (from "Hairspray") - red glitter-dot knit and red chandelle boas.

Bubble Dress

Circa 1962-style bubble dress, for another "Hairspray" number.  This style is very slimming, since the waist, hips and tummy are hidden by the crinolined "bubble" skirt!  (Notice that the necklace and earrings are made from "bubble" beads.)

Turquoise Showgirl

Showgirl costume created for "DQ '03" (a week-long benefit revue, in aid of Casey House hospice, in Toronto).

Queen of Tarts

Queen of Tarts - Silver tissue lamé, red sequins, red glitter-star lurex knit and red & white silk carnations.  Parasol & gloves of red satin, studded with clear Swarovski crystals.
