Audiobooks:

"Vampiropolis" - a steamy volume of paranormal romances by Selena Illyria.  Available from AudioMinx.  http://www.audiominx.com/books/vampiropolis/

"You Still Can't Do That On Television":

In this animated tribute to the classic 1980s kids' show, "You Can't Do That On Television", I began by voicing Mom & the Librarian.  Then, they asked me to voice Rhona (the 13-year-old second banana, whom I gave braces and an attitude).  Finally, they asked me to voice Jason (a 10-year-old boy, whom I gave a gravelly voice and a stuffy nose).

This is one of the sketches in which I voiced all three characters.  Dad's belch, however, was not my work, though I could certainly have done it with the help of a big piece of watermelon...

Psychic Grandma (all 3 voices)

Newsreader Patte (1996):

In 1996, the Ceeb held an Open House, in honour of its 60th anniversary.  One of the attractions was a chance to try being an on-camera newsreader, and you got a videocassette of your efforts.

Most people find it really hard to read from a Teleprompter, but for me, it's the most natural thing in the world.  However, my final news item definitely was NOT on the Teleprompter!

Miscellaneous sketches and parodies:

I collect old magazines, and one, from 1952, had a testimonial ad in it, for Ken-L-Ration dog food.  I found it hilarious, and did a read of it...

Dog Food Commercial

My aunt, who is a master at capturing speech in her writing, wrote this piece, several years ago.  I immediately knew that it had to be heard, so I recorded a read, in one long take.  Then I mixed in some appropriate music ("None But the Lonely Heart") and added some visual interest with a slide show of photographs I'd taken...

Radio Ads I wrote and voiced for the Toronto production of "Forever Plaid":

I did all of the female voices in these spots, each of which was recorded in one long take.  In the Easter spot, I jumped from voice to voice, and even added the sound effects as I went along...

Forever Plaid - New Year's Eve

Forever Plaid - Easter Furry Tail

Forever Plaid - All the Ways

Forever Plaid - Hamilton Place
