Some things I threw together for myself...and the personnae that go with them!

Auntie Em

As "Auntie Em" in "Oh, Rudy!" - 1996

(One of several fabulous drag queens I've played. I designed and made the dress and earrings too.)

1950s Cherries

Cherry-print 1950s-style strapless dress & matching bolero I made. (Note tiny "Ruby Slippers" pin at bust.)

Creepella Belladonna, with Thane Cawdor

As "Creepella Belladonna", with "Thane Cawdor".

I wore this costume when I did palmistry at the CNE. The wig is one of my favourites. Unfortunately, there's a very limited number of places where I can wear it. (Thane was a souvenir from the musical "From a Jack to a King"; his costume was made from scraps by the show's enterprising wardrobe mistress.)

The Dark Angel wishes you a Merry Christmas

The Dark Angel wishes you a Merry Christmas.

My brother really has a way with Black & White photography. I didn't even realize he was posing me so that the cheesy plastic holly garland would look like evil wings...and the candle flame would produce an evil glint on the lenses of the dark glasses. (And yes, it was Christmas morning.)

Short dalmatian coat

As soon as I saw the movie, I had to have the coat. And since nobody else was making them, I had to make my own.

Long dalmatian coat

Faux-fur is the warmest fabric imaginable! It was so warm and beautiful that I made a long version of it, with a big red, furry, "cobra" hood.

B&W Burlesque Queen at rest

Lounging in the dressing-room, while wearing the sequinned and ostrich-plumed "Burlesque Queen" dressing-gown I designed and made for a very successful cabaret gig at a yacht club...

...and here's the dressing-gown in colour.
